Enthesopathies

Enthesopathies are localized lesions occurring at the interface between tendons and bones. These lesions are prevalent and often linked to degenerative arthritis, inflammatory conditions, and metabolic disorders, notably diabetes. Disruption at the bony attachment site results in scarring, leading to chronic muscle pain and weakness. Persistent use can aggravate the compromised ligament's insertion point, resulting in recurring sprains. Pain associated with enthesopathies is typically pinpoint and highly tender along the bone's edge.
